Program Description 

Building Blocks Mentoring Program is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that supports youth with a wide range of mentoring meant to empower youth through social development awareness enhancement, educational opportunities, self-actualization training while proactively assisting  in creating a more conductive community and environment in which to live and thrive.

Building Blocks Mentoring Program will enable at-risk youth to improve their lives through utilization of relationships building with an emphasis peer-to-peer bonds and community and parental respect. The youth taking advantage of this innovative program will be able to utilize community resources and career building opportunities provided by community foundations and business leaders with hopes of increasing income levels, graduation levels, and all around community pride opportunities for a better future that will empower academic, and self-development.

Goals & Objectives: Building Blocks Mentoring Program will support individual mentoring as well as group facilitation for at-risk youth who are experiencing educational challenges, gang-related pressure, lack of community, pride and the threat of dropping out of school. These are specifics of the program overall objectives below:

  • Provide one-on-one & group support
  • Providing positive role models
  • Listening to concerns in-group and individual environments
